A growing movement of artists, leaders, and changemakers is realizing that in our pursuit of progress, we've lost touch with the deeper spiritual fabric of life. True evolution requires coherence—a recognition of our place in the interconnected web of existence. To thrive, we must balance innovation with reverence for all life, remembering that a flourishing future is rooted in harmony and connection.

Summit Labs
Summit Labs are the heartbeat of our event and are presented by the Song Summit Foundation. They are discussions that dissect, illuminate, and interrogate the art of music and songwriting. They create an environment of inclusivity that promotes discussion of mental health, substance recovery, representation, and social equity in addition to all things music. A diverse group of artists will lead talks on their own while others will work with subject experts. Labs take place at Jim Santy Auditorium in the City Park Library.
About the Experts
Chris Benchetler
Multidisciplinary artist Chris Benchetler grew up in California’s eastern Sierra Nevada, where the mountains shaped both his skiing and creative pursuits. “Mother Nature was and continues to be my best teacher,” he says.
Benchetler’s backcountry mastery and artistic vision have made him a standout in the ski world, from starring in films like the groundbreaking ‘Afterglow’ to co-founding the innovative ski film company Nimbus Independent in 2007. His artistry extends to designing topsheet graphics for Atomic’s iconic Bent Chetler skis—a pro model line so successful that Atomic named him creative director of freeskiing. He has also created artwork for brands like Arcteryx, Dragon, Smartwool, and Dakine.
Blending his love for skiing, art, and music, Benchetler spearheaded one of his most meaningful collaborations yet, an award-winning film ‘Fire On The Mountain.’ Emblazoned with the emblem of the Grateful Dead and narrated by basketball legend and Dead Head Bill Walton, the film expanded into Benchetler creating the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary logo, as well as visuals for Mickey Hart’s Drums in Space during Dead & Co’s residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
Today, Benchetler continues to merge his passions. His home studio in Mammoth is a vibrant testament to his evolving artistry, where he embraces a self-taught approach, saying, “whether through my paintings, my skiing, or my films, I aim to communicate what cannot be said. I juxtapose disparate elements to create something greater than the sum of its parts by layering colors, images, topics, experiences, and emotions.”
Through The Benchetler Fasani Foundation, which he and Fasani launched in 2022, he also helps those facing hardship find healing in nature, a reflection of his lifelong connection to the outdoors.
